In the State of Texas, the following statutes
of limitations apply:
- You must file a personal injury lawsuit
or tort claim within two (2) years from
the date of accident or injury.
- You must file a Longshoreman and Harbor
Workers' accident claim within one (1)
year from the date of accident or injury
by filing a blue form LS-203 with the
U. S. Department of Labor.
- You must file a Longshoreman and Harbor
Workers' accident claim within one (1)
year from the date of accident or injury
by filing a blue form LS-203 with the
U. S. Department of Labor.
- You must file a Workers' Compensation
claim within one (1) year from the date
of accident or injury by filing a Notice
of Injury and Claim for Compensation
with the Texas Workers' Compensation
Commission.
- You must file a contract lawsuit within
four (4) years from the date the action
arose.
